Well we have had our final weekend of the Allswage Loton Park Championship and the Titan-X Top Ten Challenge, and a decisive weekend it turned out to be, with 2 of the championships being decided on the final day. I have to say it doesn’t seem too long ago that we were starting this years championships with quite a few new faces who have now become regulars at Loton.
The final positions in the Championships were;
Allswage Loton Park Championship
1st David Feakins
2nd Andrew Feakins
3rd Richard Case
Its not customary to list 4th place but I must give mention to Tony Feakins who finished in 4th which given the problems he has encountered this year is worth a mention. Well done to Richard for preventing a family 1, 2, 3. Maybe next year we rename as Feakins Family Championship.
Allswage Loton Park FTD Championship.
1st Andrew Coleman
2nd Clive Austin
3rd Gary Hull
The final outcome of the FTD was only decided on the last day, before the weekend this was led by Gary Hull, who unfortunately missed the meetings with his ongoing engine problems, and at the start of Sunday it was still mathematically possible for Clive to take the honours. Congratulations to Andrew for taking the Championship ahead of the single seaters, and to Gary for finishing in 3rd in his first season at Loton.
Titan-X Top Ten Challenge
1st Andrew Coleman
2nd Simon Hutchinson
3rd Andrew Feakins
Again congratulations to Andrew for his first Championship win in what turned out to be quite a close run finish. I’m sure Simon will be disappointed not to have won for a third year but will also be the first to congratulate Andy on his title, maybe it would have been different had Simon been available at the weekend to defend his title.
